Playing the drums in a rock or jazz band with your friends is really fun and the better you play, the more fun you'll have. Learning to play is not simple but our professional faculty will make it easy, fun, and help you learn the secrets to getting great sound and playing in any style you want. You'll develop your ear so you can listen to any song and pick out the percussion accompaniment, your technique so you can play it really well, your reading & writing skills so you can write and read what you're playing plus you'll learn more about getting and performing gigs, cutting cds etc.
So whether you want to play rock, pop, blues, classical, or jazz; whether you are brand new to playing or an experienced performer doing gigs and cutting CDs, private drums lessons are essential to your success and enjoyment. Through a combination of technique, theory, exercises and tunes, the Champaign School of Music's professional faculty will help you really play.
