Private Lessons: Suzuki Method
Through a nurturing, child-appropriate method that is similar to the way a child learns language, the Suzuki Method, helps young violin and piano students become fluent performers of music. Many Suzuki graduates achieve very high levels of musical skill and enjoyment.
But Suzuki training also instills many other qualities such as discipline, memorization, confidence, respect for others, and teamwork and students are often successful in school, careers, and community, due in part, to this training.
Parents of Suzuki students attend all lessons and become their child's at-home Practice Coach, thereby forming The Suzuki Triangle, a combined force of Teacher, Parent and Student working together for the child's education and success. Additionally, as the Suzuki method is taught all over the world, families have the opportunity to build lasting friendships through local, national and international summer music camps.
You may start private lessons any time of the year or month. Contact our office to see which times and days are available.
--Lorelei Punsalan, Aina and Pilar's MomChampaign School of Music is a blessing to my family. Our teachers are very dynamic and challenge my kids to perform at their best, but do so with genuine concern. While my kids are learning to play for fun, they are also given the opportunities to compete, to do level-testings, and perform in recitals (which have, by now, become major events for my family). We really feel blessed to be part of this wonderful music school and look forward to many more years with it.
