Learning to play the flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, or bassoon by joining the school band can be a fun, rewarding and challenging experience. While our school band teachers are excellent, they find it impossible to give each student the individual attention they need to reach their fullest musical potential. They are also unable to address individual technical issues like breathing, embouchure, and styles of articulation that are idiosyncratic to each instrument and present challenges for each individual student to varying degrees.
Through CSM's unique music program, our professional faculty build upon the foundation your child receives through school band programs. Your student will greatly benefit from the tailored lesson plan, put together by a teacher who specializes in the instrument, aimed specifically toward your student's individual needs. They will be challenged and encouraged to reach their full musical potential by increasing their technical and musical skills. Private lessons help support your student's band activities providing them with more opportunities to have fun playing with other musicians while feeling good about their performing abilities and hard work.
